The COOP

Delicious! A little pricey, but the portion sizes completely make up for that! 3 huge chicken tenders, a huge (and delicious!) biscuit, tasty fries, and yummy Mac and cheese.. I had to take home 1 tender and half my Mac and cheese because I just couldn't handle another bite. To be fair though, I had my biscuit and my boyfriend's... Those things are amazing but DENSE! The only reasons I took off a star - Their dessert case looked amazing online, but was mostly empty when we got there around 1pm, and some of the open containers of sides looked to be pretty dried out and unappetizing. They were probably some less popular options that weren't getting turned over as frequently.. but I was glad that I chose the popular Mac and cheese once I saw those containers. Take a look at the containers before choosing, but definitely take a trip to The COOP!!

What can I say about this place. The chicken and waffles were awesome ???????????????? and my husband LOVED the grits. There was a little bit of a wait but being mother's day weekend it's to be expected. The part that stood out the most is the manager coming over to see how we liked the food. He took the time to see what we needed without us even having an issue. He demonstrated true customer service in my opinion and that will keep us coming back.

Excellent customer service and outstanding food. The chicken and dumplings are amazing. If you are looking for real southern comfort food...this is your place!! Left there in a good coma!! Highly recommend trying out the Coop!

Off the hook!!! My husband and I live on the Space Coast but are in Winter Park on business often. He has been there 3 times now and will keep coming back for lunch at The Coop when he is in town. I was fortunate enough to go there for lunch last week while we were in town on business together. Today he went to Winter Park while I stayed at the office, and as I kissed him goodbye I said, “And don’t you dare go to The Coop for lunch without bringing me half a meatloaf sandwich home for dinner.” And he did! Good man! Why only half? Because the bacon wrapped meatloaf sandwich with sides is too big to finish in one meal. It’s the best darn hot sandwich I have had anywhere. For real! Check out The Coop when you are in Winter Park. Great Southern cuisine. Cute homey decor. Superb service.
