The Fish & Chip Shop

We had to come and see for ourselves what all the reviews were talking about. The cod was a very good portion and the chips were excellent. Loved the curry sauce. The chicken and leek pie had a great crust but was too sweet. They ran out of bottled water and we had to wait about 15 minutes before we could place our order because the kitchen was backed up and needed tine to catch up. The staff were in a state of disarray and disgruntled but once things worked out things calmed down.

First let me start off with saying this place is what you are expecting, if, you have ever been to any/most of the best fish and chips places overseas. Yes they have malt vinegar, that is damn near a prerequisite for a legit fish and chips spot. Overall I concur with the 300+ 4-5 star Yelp reviews of this place. You will not be disappointed with this place! I only wish I had taken the time to post pictures of my foot long haddock plate, but I devoured it in probably 2 mins....????????

Delicious fish cooked perfectly. Ample portions, friendly staff. Clean, inviting space with 4 booths, two 4-top tables, and four 2-top high tops. Additional seating outside under the covered front walkway.

Yesterday was our first day. Our visit began by a very delightful young lady at the counter. She was very helpful and answered several questions. I'm always impressed when someone sounds like they're just answering a question for the first time, versus some people who make it sound like we're inconveniencing them with our questions.

She was a pro, and even though she's probably answered what the difference is between haddock and cod thousands of times, her answer was concise and cheerful - as if she were answering it for the first time. She was excellent.

The food - we had the cod and it was PERFECT and EXCELLENT! Ordering was easy - at the counter, and within about a minute, our drinks were served. A couple minutes later - piping hot fish and chips. Best we've had in FL.

We give The Fish and Chip Shop our HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS! Hope you'll be as delighted as we were!

This was so delicious. Between the 5 of us we all tried different kinds of fish and all of it was so good. The fries and onion rings were good too. The wait for the food was not long and everyone was nice. My husband is a chef and we always make a point of trying different places on vacation, and I wish we lived closer to this gem!
