Griffis Cafe

Have to admit this place shocked us. Drove by it the first time thinking ... Meh ... but a storm forced us to stop. Prices are very reasonable and portions are exceptionally large. Chicken sandwich was really good - fresh-made chicken strips, not frozen. Catfish & shrimp were excellent. House-made cole slaw was sweet and delicious. They even make their own cocktail sauce! It was a very nice surprise.

This is a hidden gem. I've driven past it for years and have only recently stopped for the first time. I also recently stopped for the second, third and fourth time. In a few days, I'll be stopping for the fifth time.

The outside might not look like much, but what is happening on the inside is what matters. The food is amazing and prepared in house, the service is committed, and the pricing is decent.

Food was delicious. Great portions. Three of us came off the Florida Trail to eat and avoid a bad rainstorm. Waitress was amazing and very accommodating to our requests.

Great place to eat, food was great & the staff was super friendly. When we make it back to Florida we will definitely be stopping by for a meal!

My husband and I stopped in on our way back to oklahoma, the staff was very friendly and attentive to all the customers, not just us. I've never seen a small cafe so packed. They couldn't get tables emptied fast enough before another group of people were trying to pour in the door. Great service and great food. The whole staff needs a pat on the back. Outstanding!
