Great local place to eat and drink. I grew up a farmer and fisherman on eastern Long g island. NY. The steamers are outstanding! Food is very good for the price. Really has gotten better than when I moved here 2 years ago. The employees are excellent. Very nice. Wish more of a bar crowd
Rangers game was not playing at in-laws house so they were there to help me out. Went there twice over my trip to see my team play. They seemed very slow to notice a new customer standing at the hostess station. After greeted I was seated right away. The first night I had wings. The second night I had nachos. They were both as expected. Waitresses were attentive to my needs and very friendly. They put the game on for me right away. As it was during the week and after 8:00pm they were not busy. I gave three stars instead of four mainly because they were very slow to greet me. Had I not needed their tv, I would have gone somewhere else after about three minutes of waiting. That is way to long to leave a new customer waiting when they were at 10% capacity and the staff seemed to be more concerned with making up utensil sets than greeting customers.
Some friends and I went to grab some drinks after work at the Boynton location and was shocked with the treatment we received. When asked what time they closed they responded 2am. We were sitting outside in the patio area when around 1:20am the "bar back" started to remove the cushions off the patio furniture and asked us to GET UP so he could remove the ones we were sitting on. Being in the industry myself, that is a NO NO! He then proceeded to close the rest of the establishment while customers were still present. We sat back down on the patio chairs with no cushions for him to come back and ask us to stand up so he could chain the chairs up, WHILE we were still sitting on them! We confronted him telling him that is not how you treat paying customers and that he was wrong for doing so. He gave us attitude and basically told us oh well. I do not recommend anyone to go and spend your money at that establishment. I am telling ALL of my friends and family and spreading the word that Alabama Joe's DOES NOT care about customer service and therefor I will NEVER go back to ANY of the locations. Take your money somewhere else that cares to make your experience good!!
