I've been a certified bbq judge for 20.years. If you don't small smoke get back in the car. This is real deal not boiled and grilled fake fall off the bone. Smoked q. Everything thing is good especially the burnt ends if you can get there when they have them. Great sides too. Buy meat by the lb and make your own sandwich. You'll come out ahead
First time here. It's an alright spot. When you enter you order your food to the right "school cafeteria" way. Then pay & sit. The food selection is like grilled chicken, ribs, pulled pork, and sides. I ordered a 1/4 chicken and it was really good. The fries were delicious too I liked them. The drinks are sodas (like 3 flavors), snapple, beers, water. The workers are really nice. The ambiance inside it's really nice love the interior decor. There is a small area for kids to play as well.
It has the best pulled pork made fresh right in front of you.
Laid back atmosphere. Neat little area w/ interactive games for kids & adults alike!
Extremely friendly staff. Not sure if the woman working was the owner or an employee but went above and beyond for me last night. When I said ,” wow I’m not used to being treated this nicely at a restaurant.” She responded with a smile,” You’re human right?” I wish everyone thought like this. The world would be a better place. Thank u!
I went there for the music -- they do have live music from time to time, although I'm not sure when. While I was there, I decided to try their food. It's good, and in the case of the barbecue sandwich, plentiful. A few quick facts to set your expectations:
1. There is no table service. Order your food at the left end of the counter.
2. There are metal knives and forks, but the food and beverages are served on paper plates and in plastic cups.
3. If you happen to be a fan of Carolina Piedmont barbecue, as I am, be aware that their Carolina barbecue is not Piedmont style -- that is, it is not minced and does not have a vinegar-based pepper sauce. It's good, but it's just not Piedmont.
None of which is intended to demean this establishment. The food is perfectly good, and I will probably go back.
