Sal's Italian Ristorante

Place was packed but got a table quick. The service was great and the food was plentiful and excellent.

Nothing too extraordinaire.

When I saw this place I was thinking it was going to be worse than it was. While nothing spectacular it was about average. I will say the extensive menu was a bit of a surprise. The coffee was nice and strong and the garlic rolls were tasty, topped with minced garlic. A little too hard and crusty for my liking but fluffy inside. The portions were fairly healthy. 2 people, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and coffee/soda $74 and change. I could eat there again with little reservation. Not my favorite Italian restaurant but not the worst either.

Food quality is inconsistent. When it's good it's good. But I have been disappointed at some visits. Service is always good. Easy parking.

The pizza is very good. The Mediterranean salad is excellent. I went with my brother & SIL. The waiter was terrible. Maybe he was new, but he totally messed up the order. The wine was pretty bad. A few days later I got takeout. The food was just OK and they didn't give me lightly sauced eggplant parm as I had asked. The chicken Marsala was just fair.

My family is visiting from New York City. This evening we ate at Sal's Ristorante on Haagen Ranch. Road. Ronnie, our Server could not have done a better job. He treated us like family and made us feel at home. His knowledge of the menu items and the food preparation was impressive. Even more impressive was the attention he provided us. He delivered our drink order right away. During dinner, he checked in on us numerous times to make sure everything was okay. I could not help but notice that he gave the same stellar attention to all of his tables. The food was excellent. The quality, quantity and cost were amazing! The choice for dessert was the cherry on the sundae for what was an incredible dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Sal's. When you go there, be sure to ask to have Ronnie be your server!
