PGA National Resort

Fantastic, even while under construction!

I was a little hesitant about booking because I had read a few bad reviews about it while under construction....

All I can say is I have no idea what people are complaining about.

The pool is fantastic... one of the best I have visited in a long time. Food choices are from a smallish menu, but still enough and really good.

And the customer service was outstanding. Every one we met was very helpful and friendly, and went above and beyond.

We didn’t use any of the golf facilities, because we were in town for a Dave Matthews concert.

Bottom line, we will be back again.

We rarely heard the construction.... only a little because we were on the first floor, and ONLY when we walked right up next to it. (Which is not even next to the facilities or guest rooms, just near one of the doors as we exited the building.)

And for the guest that complained about the pool and music... they must like to complain. We actually preferred the “no music” during the morning visit. And then there was a DJ that started around 12. We were there on the weekend, so maybe it’s only on then and not during the week. Either way, it’s such a great pool, with the sounds of a waterfall, I don’t understand how someone could have possibly complained.

I highly recommend it!

This place was beautiful, the reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because at night the A/C stopped working and it was 80F and it was very difficult for me to sleep, when we called maintenance to come and fix it, they weren’t successful and they said the only thing they could do was move us to a different room even tho it was 3am. Everything else was amazing the shower gave a lot of water and you’re able to control the flow of it. The workers here were very helpful and nice, the live music was beautiful and just the overall vibe of everyone and everything was chill, This is by far the best resort I’ve stayed in, minus the A/C. I’m sure if I return I wouldn’t have that problem again.

What an amazing golf course!!! Had So much fun. Service of course top notch and friendly. Every part of the course was absolutely a joy but very challenging. The greens !!, Wow great shape, perfectly maintained. The bear claw took some of balls.. bring a few extra.

To be fair, they are currently under construction. So it doesn't look anything like the website. Only 1 restaurant is open, no real snack bar even. No room service. Most amenities aren't open. room was fine but floor is uneven. Which is fine but weird. Maybe try after renovations.

Visited the spa last Sunday. Customer service was excellent from start to finish. Locker rooms and lounge area were clean and quiet. Unfortunately mineral pools had some debris which took away from their relaxing appeal and there was no food or drink service pool side. That being said, the area was calm and serene as it is only open to spa guests. There were also no frills including refreshments like at some of the other local resort spas. Not even a bottle of water after our treatments which was a little surprising. Overall, customer service was the best part of this spa with Frederique having a magic touch for an excellent facial ☺️
