Dade City BBQ and Ice Cream Company

THANK YOU!!!! Dade City has been hungry for some good Bar-B-Q and now we have it! I've ordered take out 4 times and not once have I been disappointed. The pulled pork is juicy, tender and flavorful. I'm addicted to their greens, which are seasoned and cooked to perfection (I could make a meal out of these alone). The baked beans are a cross between southern style and Texas cowboy style - combining the best of both, in my opinion. And they top all of this off with a tasty piece of sweet cornbread, roll, or Texas toast.

The downside to this establishment, which has been mentioned regularly in reviews, is the wait. But, I have several solutions...
1. Call or order online and get it to go
2. Order your food in advance and show up 10-15 minutes before it's supposed to be ready
3. Go when it's not a prime busy time

And finally, For those complaining about service:
Place your orders at the register (not at your table).
AND if a waiter isn't around to grab you something, don't just sit there...Use the opportunity to burn some calories!!! Walk back to the counter and ask the cashier for drink refills, extra sauce, to check on your order or inquire about dessert.

We've been here twice now and all the food is delicious. Half of chicken is fall off the bone and the brisket us the best we've had in the area. Not to mention the green bean casserole...mmmm...mmmm! I highly recommend this place and it will now be our go to for bbq. Also can't wait to try the ice cream!

This was my first time going to Dade City BBQ and I’ve got to say it was the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time! The portions were so big I had to take some home, can we say hot lunch leftovers!! I like that the most since I feel like I got two meals for the price of one! I highly recommend the mac and cheese and the beans! When I read the reviews before coming out, I can tell you that there is not a $2 fee for dining in, that is just ridiculous.

The absolute best part, the ice cream!! I was super impressed by the kids working there, and the selection is great. I was told the selection rotates regularly so that will be a nice treat especially when it starts to get super hot.

This place was very Yummy! We had the Patriot, so we had a sample of all the meats and they were all very tasty! Brisket is amazing! The collards we very tasty, little hint of sweet and little spicy! The cornbread is great and banana pudding is perfect end to the meal! Go try for yourself you won’t be disappointed! Please be patient it’s a new place and there are always kinks to work out! Katelyn was a great server and everyone seems to work well together!! Next try will be breakfast and the bagels!

I'm giving it a 4 because the food was great. I would give it less because we had to wait an hour to get our food. We only saw our waitress to put our order in and pay. Missy, who had her own tables to take care of was amazing. She brought our food out and even refilled our drinks when she should have been going home. Our waiter was available because she took an order right behind us. She never once asked how we were or if we needed anything. Two of us shared the Patriot and there was still left over meat. It was some of the best we've had.
They had both doors open so people were coming in from both and there was no order for seating. They need signs at both doors saying "please wait to be seated". We'll definitely go back but it will be a month or so. They have a lot of kinks to get out. With multiple restaurants they should have been a little better prepared.
