Sam's Beach Bar

This was a fun trendy vacation restaurant and bar. Delicious food. Nice food selection and variety of dishes. Beautiful views. Loved it.

I'm disappointed that they use styrofoam & plastic cups. Since they are located "on the beach," I hoped they'd use environmentally friendly products that wouldn't endanger the ocean.
The atmosphere was laid back. The workers were friendly and did a good job. They brought out heaters when it started to cool off. I liked the fried green tomatoes sandwich.

Blackened grouper sandwich. Terrific scenery of Gulf. Service was slow due to packed to capacity crowd. Parking is difficult. Prepare to drive around a few times. Well worth the wait. Enjoy

Really good Cuban. Great sweet potato waffle fries. Need a sweet honey based dip. Conch fritters had no conch in them. Basically a good hush puppy. Really good beers. Packed. Other food we saw looked just as good.

When I'm in Hudson this is generally a good stop for Gulf views and dolphin sightings over a great dinner. The dolphins didn't disappoint but dinner was lacking. I ordered a Ultimate steamed bucket and added extra Crab. When the dinner came out, a regular menu item was missing; smoked sausage and corn. And my add-on item was missed completely. They did buy a beer and covered the cost of the add-on item which I thought was fair but it is hard to overlook they missed regular menu items that come with the everyday Ultimate steamed bucket.

Sam's, generally pretty good but this visit was a swing and a miss for the price.
