Grille One Nine

Grill One Nine has some of the best sushi I've had in Florida. The chefs are amazing and use the freshest ingredients. The service is hit or miss, we have been treated like royalty while they have been slammed with business and other times we were looked over as if we weren't there. The final take away is go for the food, not necessarily the service, you'll be happy you did!

I highly recommend "Morgan" as a server. I have always requested her since our first introduction. She has a radiant positive personality. Morgan is friendly, courteous and always maintains a gorgeous attitude and smile.

Food is great but the inside is little to be desired for. My favorite sushi spot around and great portions for everything else. It could definitely go for a revamping of the inside. The chairs are not quiet or comfortable. The music selection is the same wordless tunes and its extremely dark. But the staff is friendly and service is efficient.

Love this place...the sushi is marvelous. All the dinner meals that I've tried are great too. Our server Melitta is quick, efficient, informative and always with a smile! Treats us like her friends. She really cares and knows how to treat her customers. She is an asset to her job...thank you Melitta & Grille One Nine! We tell our friends & family too. We will be back. ????????????

Best place in the tampa area, this is a place you bring people to impress them. I am from New York and it’s hard when family come to visit because the food isn’t that great in Florida but this place is high class.

I can’t remember her name it wasn’t Melissa it was something unique like Melitta ugh I am sorry I can’t remember (took me a week or two to finally write this)

But she was exceptional, she was 15 feet away and my wife said do they have regular utensils? I said probably. Without hesitation boom she comes over giving her utensils, we didn’t even ask her. Brought over refills without even asking.

Some people work for a check and others actually care about people. You could tell most of the staff was well trained.

You might sit very close to other people, if you are a private person then this may not be the place for you unfortunately. Either that or do what I do, try to go early and avoid the crowds.

The table we had was near the kitchen door luckily we were pretty far from others, but as I looked around I saw strangers talking to the people sitting next to them because you are literally right on top of one another.

This is a very small place so it gets filled very quickly.

I recommend getting the New York strip steak, by far the best steak I have had in Florida. Definitely top 5 restaurant for me.
