Bascom's Chop House

As a party of four, we made reservation a few days in advance. When we were seated it was right next to the kitchen. Not a good start. Four people in a booth with servers and everyone else flying by while you are trying to enjoy your overpriced dinner is rather disappointing. If you have to seat people there, you should limit it to a party of two.

The server was good, but one thing I can't stand is when they brought over a plate of different raw steaks in plastic wrap. I'm glad they are proud of their meat, but in the back of my mind, I'm thinking, after showing these meats to countless tables, eventually they are going to serve it to some unsuspecting soles.

Now for the food.
The Calamari was excellent.
Salads were good.
Filet minion and prime rib were excellent.
Loaded baked potatoes was good but undersized and missing chives.
The broccoli spears were a little over cooked.

Went for Valentine's day. Restaurant was very crowded, our reservation was at 8:45 pm, and we were seated 25-30 minutes after our reservation time. We didn't get our first course until over an hour later. The appetizer and salad were delicious. After the salad course there was a very long delay to which we were told that the pasta course had run out over 40 minutes before and we were asked if they could bring out our entree and serve the pasta along side so we didn't have to wait any longer. No problem when the pasta ravioli did come it was amazing as well as the prime rib. By this time it was after 11pm so we opted to get our desert to go. The waiter was very nice and attentive to the best of his abilities. The time delay is the main reason I would review this as being just okay. Considering the amount of money you spend on the experience and the food I'm not sure that I was impressed enough to go back and definitely not on a holiday.

Great food, attentive wait staff. Food was brought out in courses with enough time to finish previous course. Timing was great. Just expect to spend some money. Not a cheap place, but the food was worth it.

Amazing place. First time there. Great service, reasonable prices, and their steaks...so tender and juicy. Just amazing. Their Berries & Cream dessert...yeah, I could easily eat pounds of that with their custard and fresh fruit. Definitely will be going back.

I have eaten here for the last three nights of my vacation and it was better each night! The food is absolutely amazing! Our waiter tonight was the best waiter I've had in a long time! His name was Andrew I believe. He is just wonderful! He made the food even better which is hard because the food was ridiculously amazing! Go there and you won't regret it! One of my new favorite restaurants.
