We loved our lunch today! First, so glad to have a casual, quality Q joint open up that is open on Sundays. The food was delicious. We sampled the ribs, pork, brisket and burnt ends. All were excellently smoked, the rub had great flavor and the brisket was tender. Meat Candy! The Mac and cheese is better than any I’ve had around here. Collards tasty. Baked beans mild with good flavor, not too tangy not too sweet. Friendly owner who is a Dunedin High School grad! Go Falcons! Be sure to mention it if you are an alum. Decor is southern country charm. Clean. Seating is limited so if they are full, get food to go and picnic by the water.
Stopped by Q Southern BBQ for this time this afternoon. THIS is the BBQ that Dunedin has been missing. Could barely breathe by the time we left. We had The Cackalacky (NC BBQ), Brisket, Sausage, Mac-n-Cheese, Fried Pickles, Collard Greens, Baked Beans, and Potato Salad. Then, somehow, managed to eat Apple Cobbler. NOTHING DISAPPOINTED
The best bbq in Tampa Bay! We came with 8 including kids and everyone was satisfied! The meat was cooked perfectly and the sides were outstanding! The owner and his wife spent time talking to us and really made us feel welcome. Such a cool spot in Dunedin!
Awesome food in a great location.
We got the fried pickles, adult grilled cheese, and pulled pork butt. We got our food to go.
The grilled cheese was perfectly cooked and, while I can't it was what I would call a grilled cheese, it was really tasty.
The fried pickles were really well made. They are length wise strips vs the chip style I would have expected.
The pork butt was a little dry but the sauces complemented the meat. I would definitely recommend the Carolina Vinegar and the Kentucky Bourbon. There are a ton of sauces to choose from.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
There is a ton of parking nearby which should be convenient even on the busier Dunedin days. It is also worth mentioning that there is some tasty beer next door at Soggy Bottom brewery.
I look forward to going back!
Great new BBQ Hot Spot in Dunedin! Such a cool place! Walk up window and outdoor seating is perfect for late night and Soggy Bottom Brewing customers! Inside has great decor and you can watch the chefs at work from bar seating. Food is excellent and the street corn is a must try!!! Staff is fun and friendly! Highly recommend then!!!
