Great food. Very personable staff and customer service... I had the barbecue wings... They were delicious...
This is a very nice soul food restaurant. The food is real tasty overall. The main things we have noticed, however; is that mostly all the fried food tastes exactly the same, as well as the gravy. Sad to say the meatloaf was inediblle. On a positive note the fried porkchop was perfection....it was tender and juicy cooked all the way through and almost an inch thick. The lemonade is so delicious you will have to get about 3 extra and then...The red velvet & banana pudding cakes are just deliciously amazing. Let me also mention the oxtails falling off the bones tender and juicy perfectly cooked every time. Did I mention the baked chicken yet absolutely flavorful, juicy, and finger licking good. The staff is friendly and the food like any day of the week in a good southern home.....comforting, filling, tasty, & a bit nostalgic. Best place in St. Pete for good 'ole southern food.
I made it inside before the church crowd arrived. The chitterlings were good but they can cut back on the salt just a bit. I definitely will be back. The staff were welcoming and friendly a real family type atmosphere.
Had the ribs were completely outrageous!!!! All the sides were phenominal. Had the blue crab was hard to eat but prepared perfectly. Gonna try for the snow crab next time. Make sure to stop
The shrimp and grits was so delicious. I'm definitely coming back.
