I tried Dog and Parrot again after leaving for a year. Not happy with my last visit. This visit was awesome. Busy lunch crowd expertly handled by our wait person who was covering the bar as well as the dining room. Great job although longer wait times. The food outstanding and not one of my group of 10 was disappointed. My only negative comment is we all thought the place needed to be deep cleaned and the restrooms need some serious attention. Will go back again. The menu is super.
Surprisingly excellent food. Formerly Mickey Quinn's, The Dog and Parrot has the same management. Plenty of TVs, indoor and outdoor seating, and attentive staff. Fish and Chips is a non-greasy large piece of cod (highly recommend). 17 beer taps, full menu until 10 p.m. (11 p.m. Friday and Saturday). Local crowd and visitors as well. Enjoy!
Stopped in for a quick drink...stayed for another one. Awesome bar with service that really cares about the customers. We'll come back for sure and this time we'll try some of the menu items. They all looked great as they came out of the kitchen past our noses.
Cold draft beer in a glass not a plastic cup! Burger was great. Friendly service. Football on the TV. What else can you ask for.
The food was VERY good. The Scotch eggs were very crispy and had a wonderful dip. The chicken strips were done in house with a wonderful, light, crispy batter. The mashed potatoes and brown gravy were very flavorful. The shrimp cocktail was very generous (9 shrimp) and the cocktail sauce was mild. Very nice cocktail menu and a fair number of beer taps, though only 1 or 2 were non-commercial. It has a very bar-like atmosphere, but we didn't feel out of place with our kids (age 10).
