Bruce's Chicago Grill & Dog House

My coworkers and I visit this place fairly regularly and they have always been consistently good. They are priced a bit high for hot dogs but we enjoy the food and convenient location. I've only had one bad experience and it was the last time I went. I have a food allergy and they gave me the wrong item which had what I was allergic to on it. They made me a new hot dog and everything was good.

I've been eating here for 20 years. The only REAL Chicago Italian Beef sandwich you can find in these parts. Dogs are great, in fact the entire menu is excellent. Authentic Chicago food no doubt about it. Very consistent quality and courteous staff. Bruce the owner is a gas! Always a great time for lunch. Keep up the great work~P.S. if you're from Chicago and miss the food, you really need to eat here.

Other than the mistake the kitchen made and brought me a fire dog instead of a polish, the quality of the food is excellent. The system this guy uses is antiquated as hell. He makes you wait in line from the door to order instead of using servers. I got there really early and had a 5 minute wait. I watched two people come in and wait TWENTY minutes just to order, and then probably waited about what I did which was about 10-15 minutes for it to come out of the kitchen. He also gave me my money back, which did not change this review. It was very nice of him and it appears to be a company policy, so that's solid. I will go back....but early and have their delicious dogs again. Its definitely worth the trip for the freshly steamed buns and very tasty flavor of the meat they use.
