O.E.C. Japanese Sushi & Hibachi

You'll never find better sushi. Everything the chef prepares is a masterpiece. Both the visual representation and the flavors of the dishes are breathtaking. Don't miss out. I recommend the rock shrimp appetizer, the Hawaiian tartar, all the sushi rolls and the sushi apps. The bento boxes are a great deal and are fun. And the kids would love their desserts. Pretty good beer and saki for the grownups too ????

I ordered from the Hibachi portion of the menu, #14 Jumbo Shrimp. I am excited to have a Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood with delicious fresh food. The shrimp were good size. The vegetables were carrots and broccoli; both were large chunks and were cooked well. No raw vegies here. The sauce on the shrimp and vegetables were delicious and I even scored the rice five stars it was so tasty. The food was obviously freshly cooked and still hot enough to almost burn my mouth. I do not find $14 excessive for this type of meal because everything tasted so authentic. Even the salad dressing is delicious. Not one single complaint...and I'm picky.

The salmon sashimi was very fresh. They also gave me a free salmon appetizer simply to try for free! The Pink Lady roll has a little spice kick to it but is very good. Ambiance? Meh. Could use something to make it a bit less cold/bland, but that doesn't take away from the food. There are 7 booths along the wall, tables in the middle with 26 seats and a sushi bar with 5 bar stools. They serve some beer and wine as well. Music overhead is pretty old, as in old jazz and big band. Temperature of room is perfect, no getting the sweater from the car! And no smells to speak of. Yes, I cover all the bases in my reviews! Enjoy!

If you didn’t try this place then you’re missing a lot, I have had the Iron roll and the silent scream, OMG I loved the fools we had 11 plates, all of them are really good and delicious!
