Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q Largo

Food was good. Sweet tea was sweet. Cool place to eat. Total price for lunch kinda knocked the experience down. I didn’t expect to spend $15! OUCH!

Thank you for opening! This place is so friggin good. I had the Sloppy Hog/Pig sandwich and it was pretty outstanding. The collard greens had a nice kick. The mac-n-cheese was nice and creamy. The hush puppies had great flavor. I really liked the sweet n tangy BBQ sauce. Definitely bringing my family back again!

The ribs,pulled pork and Brisket was delicious.
The garlic bread was not done. The collard greens was loaded with water. The macaroni &cheese was unit homemade. There was no greeting when you enter and no waitress comes to your table. You have to seat yourself and walk to the counter to get your own menu and order.
Overall the restaurant was nice and clean. There is No ice cream to go with peach cobbler. ????

$10.99 for a plate of salad? Yes it has 2 different meats, but I thought I was getting a salad. The brisket was dry and chewy as well as the pulled pork. Very little flavor. 1 pack of dressing and it probably needed 3 just for the meat. The croutons were hard little briquettes in a clear bag.
The restaurant is a tiny little home in the wall. Clean, and the decor is great for a BBQ restaurant. But the seating is tiny little metal chairs.
You go in and order first then go grab a table after you get your own drink. It's fast food for BBQ. Once you are done you are out the door. The"servers" really push to clean up while you are eating and will even nudge into your conversation to let you know they will clean up once you are ready to leave. I felt like they were eager to get us out the door. Too bad cause the banana pudding on the menu caught my eye.
There won't be a next time,. The prices for the meal platters were enough to keep me from going back. You don't get enough food for those prices.

This is the best barbeque in the area by far! The ribs, smoked sausage and smoked wings were some of the best we've ever had. The sauces were awesome; our favorite was sweet and sassy. I thought I made the best collard greens, but I've been beat out. Mac and Cheese was a hit with the the grandson and the grandpa. We have had better brisket and pulled pork elsewhere, but it doesn't mean it was bad. It was still good. But the ribs, chicken, and sausage were top notch. We will absolutely go back again and again.
