Great place to eat, relax and generally unwind. Dining is located directly on the waterfront and there is plenty of space inside the restaurant and outside of the restaurant sitting right over the water! Table service is there for a wide variety of drinks and also seafood features with a few burgers and fries for those who don't want fish and any other crustaceans????????
Great seafood place. Staff was super friendly and fun. Great location. Cant say enough how much we really enjoyed this place.
We decided to head here because we were looking around for some restaurants, we saw the reviews and decided that we should go here. Before we went into the restaurant we watched the fishermen filet some of the freshly caught fish from the boardwalk. They fed the rest of the non edible parts to the pelicans who served as quite the entertainment. After a while we decided to head inside for something to eat. The friendly staff welcomed us and sat us down in a comfortable table. They came and got our drink orders within little to no time. They took our orders and we waited around 15 minutes for our food to come. Most of the meal was good although the mushroom caps were not cooked enough for our taste. In summary the Friendly Fisherman is definitely a place to check out and a place we hope to return to.
I love the food! And the prices weren't bad either. they have big shareable seafood dishes that are enough for two people. I had the blue cheese burger and it was very good everything was cooked fresh and the drinks were amazing!
We are never disappointed when we visit this restaurant! First and foremost it is very clean. The staff are all friendly and service is always great. The seafood is very good. The clam chowder, one of their signature soups, is so good. We all had the broiled seafood platter last night. What impresses us is that it is not just a bunch of seafood served on a platter with a slice of lemon. It was served on a bed or rice with saute'd red onions and carrots, that added a wonderful taste to the seafood. We have been coming here off and on for years, only because we lived in Virginia, but the restaurant stays consistent with all I have written.
