The outside seating views are great.
The gumbo was very good and large portion.The grilled shrimp was wonderful as was the coconut shrimp.Also had the mushroom burger sandwich and was not a fan at all.
It's quite a busy place be prepared to wait 30 to 40 minutes.

Had a reservation at 7pm, but the table I chose the day before was occupied by another reservation that was taking longer than expected (that’s what the hostess told me). They arranged an area where my party of 20 could be sat, but on divided tables because it wasn’t long enough for everyone.

After that, the service was slow and disorganized (specially on basic drinks or things like lemons), even when I recognize my guests were getting there once at a time.

The food was really good from what I could talk to everyone at the table, and after that the payment was really confusing, with bills not being taken/returned all at once.

They took around 15 minutes to take the plates off the table after they noticed we were done.

One of the servers (I can’t recall her name, Dolicia is the name on the bill) really had a nice attitude the whole evening and made her best effort to please all the requirements.

I would come back for the food, the decoration and the location. That’s why I’m giving 3 stars. Hope it can be better next time.

PD: (This is not strictly restaurant related) The parking garage machine charged me the max rate even when I never reached it. It practically ripped me off.

PD 2: We weren’t sure if they close at 10 pm or 11 pm, because on their website says 11 pm (Fridays and Saturdays) but here says 10 pm.

The food and the view were excellent! I love the Forrest Gump theme, but it may not be for everyone. The only drawback of this visit was that our server was also tending bar, so she was not able to make the rounds as often as one might expect. Of course, you can always put out the "Stop, Forrest, stop," sign if you need anything.

This place is not just a staple or icon, this place is really worth the drive or wait. The service was amazing, very friendly and attentive wait staff and the food was perfect every thing we ordered was done to perfection. We found ourselves in miami and didn't have the opportunity to try it then but today we fortunately had time so worth it, highly recommended. We had the surf and turf for our main dish with snow crabs the steak was medium like we asked for and the shrimp was not overcooked or chewy, the snow crabs peeled right out of the shell nothing over cooked! We had the soup and salad as an appetizer we tried the shrimp gumbo, tho the shrimp was scarce the taste wasn't and the salad was fresh. Our 7 year old granddaughter also very much enjoyed the steak she said they did a good job!
