The Brown Boxer Madeira Beach

We have been coming here for five years 1 time for a year as we come for a vacation in Clearwater. The first times we always remember one or two dishes that we wanted to come back and taste again. This year was not a good year. it's sit yourself service but the server took about 7 minutes before coming to the table. Enough time to look around and see how round down the place has gotten. He looks like the ceiling has the water problem there's pieces of ceiling falling out in some areas. When we got there there was only two people inside besides us. They had more customers sitting outside with their dogs. We order for the kids hamburgers I order a buffalo chicken wrap my husband order the grouperfish fingers and in my mom order the cheese steak. We all had Waters and my husband had three beers. The total was $88 with tip 100 because my spouse is always generous. We did not liked it this time the food tasted more like bar food then restaurant high quality food okay as before. We're not going to make plans to come back again next year.

Used to be great

We used to love coming here but it looks like a few changes have been made. Service was ok. When our food was delivered the food runner frowned and call our orders. (How hard is it to do seat numbers?) Then it took a long time for the server to check on us. The food was pretty good but not great. They were out of a side dish I wanted.

Great location being so close to the beach. The restaurant has a nicer ambiance than what I had expected. Beer specials and good food make it a location I'd definitely recommend. My pork Nachos were so big and loaded with toppings.

The Brown Boxer is a good restaurant. Although they don't serve a good steak (every restaurant should) the food is quite good. No early bird. The sandwiches are really good. I went for lunch with a friend and we got 2 different sandwiches and played shares. Sandwiches were large one of us got fries the other onion rings. Well worth it. The place is dog friendly. Drinks are good. Bogo. Try it!!
