Mike's Sushi & Sake Bar

I just had an excellent lunch here today! I got their lunch special with two rolls (comes with your choice of miso soup or salad), plus an extra roll (blue moon roll) because I was hungry!! I got the tuna roll and tempura shrimp roll. At first the rolls looked small to me, but they ended up being the perfect size and left my friend and I room for dessert. I liked that the blue moon roll doesn't have a lot of batter on it like many fried rolls usually do. All rolls were yummy and you can taste the fish and seafood, not just a mouthful of mayo or cream cheese. We got fried banana split with red bean and green tea ice cream. The banana was tempura fried and it was perfect. I preferred the red bean ice cream over the green tea, it has just the right amount of sweetness to it. Our server was super nice and attentive to our needs. I'm slowly building a top 5 list of my favorite sushi places in Pinellas, and this is definitely one of them! I'll be coming back.

Only place around that I know of that makes negimaki. And Mikes does it very well.
They also have a very wide selection of sushi that the ingredients are always very fresh.
Mike's is very customer oriented and has always gone out of the to make sure our family's meal is special.
Mike's is very good for take out as well.

The best sushi! From the Sashimi to Hibachi never a disappointment. The staff is amazing! I love that they will even make the sushi rolls smaller for my daughter ❤️

I've been a customer since they were located on Tampa Rd and I've never been disappointed. The sushi is incredibly fresh every time. I can actually eat it the next day and it still tastes amazing. The staff is always friendly and they seem to enjoy working there. The other customers are also great. I've been here on numerous occasions just to stop in for a quick meal and ended up staying for several hours drinking saki with other customers at the sushi bar. I highly recommend this restaurant!

authentic style sushi restaurant. no mayo, no cream cheese, no weird sauces, just fabulous fresh fish. thank you so much Mike. we haven't had it this good since we left Seattle.
