Compass Grille

3 stars because food was great. No hustle in any employee you encounter. waited an hour and a half for our food. least to say during our one week stay we will not be eating here again but if you have two hours to wait for food and a dessert, then try it out. and it wasn’t busy for a sunday night with about 4 couples eating.

We stayed at the resort attached to the Compass Grill and were given a few vouchers for breakfast here. Now, the breakfast menu is a lot of potatoes, starches, and carbs. There isn't really a solid protein packed meal besides the steak and eggs. Unfortunately, the vouchers don't cover that meal.

However, speaking with Lisa and explaining my dietary needs she allowed me to order this meal. I didn't really touch the potatoes or bread- but the steak was cooked how I ordered, medium and the egg was done correctly as well.

I highly recommend asking for Lisa if you try them. She is the most pleasant and tentative there- even remembered my exact meal several days in a row! The rest of the servers seem to just go at their own pace and talk way too much instead of being attentive.

The hostess, I am sorry I forgot your name, dark complexion and beautifully braided hair was a funny and lovely gal too.

As far as prices- it's expensive because this is tourism. 10 bucks for a meal seems to be the standard now a days. However, with that being said I wish in the future they would think about adding to their menu for breakfast a pick 4 for $8 or something. Give me the option to create my breakfast plate because of my dietary needs without paying more because of health issues. Lots of places offer this- please consider adding it to your breakfast menu.

Anyone who complains about the food, service or prices, must have visited on an off day for them. The serving sizes are excellent for the price. I have paid the same price for half the portions. Service was excellent. The food was delicious. My NY Strip was exactly the way I like it and the sides were too tasty for words. Just mmmmmm's. Tammy served us like VIP's.
