Absolutely incredible. Everything we had was super-fresh. Cracked conch was tender and buttery. The gator bites were like milk-fed veal, and hands down the best gator I've ever had, and I've had a lot of gator lol. The Key West Shrimps were massive, and the grouper flaky and moist. The scallops were insanely awesome. Each one was an inch and a half high and round, and done perfectly. Even the cole slaw and the fries were fantastic as well. Prices are extremely reasonable for fresh seafood, and you can even enjoy a bucket of craft beers in a casual, no-frill's atmosphere. I LOVED Mid-Peninsula Seafood, and I'm pretty sure you will too. FIVE STARS!!!
Dynamite place. Seafood is fresh and very well prepared. Staff is great. Good family atmosphere. Be careful you don't order more than you can eat....I always do. Best onion rings I've ever had. The locals know. Gulfport is an oasis from city life.
We stopped in here while on vacation. We received great service and the food was very good as well. We did one of the combo meals that had shrimp, fried scallops, fish, fries, and hush puppies. Everything was good. The fried clams were so good and not chewy at all and the shrimp was cooked perfectly.
I have been going here for over 20 years since they were on central avenue. Best local fish joint in town. If you want to pay lots of money and get mediocrity that is fancy go somewhere else. If you want really great local food, at a great price, cooked perfectly by locals for locals and a really relaxed environment, come here. I used to live close but now I live in Tampa and I still make the drive a few rimes a month. Best fish monger in town. Try the tailgate combos.
I had fried oysters, shrimp, scallops, fish and salad. It was very good. Too much to eat, but I didn't want to stop eating because it was so delicious. The salad was fresh with homemade croutons! My seafood was lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection so it was tender and flaky. I'd recommend a little care to the restrooms but food-wise I have no complaints.
