Alto Mare Fish Bar

The St Pete foodie scene had really come into its own with places like Alto Mare. The Annata family is growing, couldn’t be more excited for the new kid on the block. From the absolute gorgeous layout and design to the top notch staff this place is going to do some amazing things. And the food..... This menu is phenomenal, even the pickiest of foodies would be impressed. From Tuna and Foie to a Johnny Cake with Lobster and the dreamiest butter and caviar.. Bravo to the entire staff and best of luck on the high seas!

Loved this place. Awesome wine list and a lot of wines by the glass to choose from. Wonderful, creative food while overlooking the bay. Yes, on the pricier side, but you also get what you pay for. Lobster corn cake was absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful, can’t wait to go back!!

We had high expectations with the reputation they have built with their success at Annata and we were not disappointed. We started with "The Egg", a unique layered appetizer with (you guessed it) an egg, caviar, and a very rich creamy chowder. Delicious! Next came our "Torre" or seafood tower. We selected king crab, tune poke, fish spread, oysters, and tinned fish. Never in my life would I have thought I would enjoy eating tinned fish. BLOWN AWAY. Before our main course we shared a cup of New England clam chowder. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you this was one of the best chowders I have ever had. Definitely a must try! The finale was the Squid Ink Conchiglie. Small squid ink pasta with squid, shrimp, and clams in a rich broth. THE. BROTH....amazing.

SO GOOD! Service and food were equally excellent; the clam chowder and lobster roll were the best we've had. Even our server, who just moved from NE, said the chowder is one of the best she's tasted! Not pictured: my roasted cauliflower steak :( Stinks because it was gorgeous and delicious. Highly recommended! ????
