Kobe Japanese Steakhouse - St Petersburg

The new Kobe Steakhouse is amazing. We had a party of 11 and the service was outstanding. I have seen Japanese Steakhouse chefs about 30 times and never had as much fun as we did with "Fluffy". The only thing better than his humor was his cooking skills. He did all the "tricks" with his knives and spatula while producing some amazing food. I am already making plans to go back. Well done!

This was my first time and for my birthday at that! It was too much food for any of the 10 guest in my party to eat but we gave it our best shot. The atmosphere was very relaxing, the chef was the best. He was funny, engaging and just great. I will definitely be back. Chef Fluffy you rock!

Wonderful experience! I was excited to see this location so close to home, so after some painting headed over around 9:45pm. The staff was amazing even with us arriving so late in the evening and being the last table of three couples and ran over in the evening past closing time. Rain (our chef), precious(our waitress) and the rest of the staff made us feel very welcome and entertained. They were the hardest working and professionally outstanding. Thank you for your hospitality!

I went to Kobe last night January 3. The place was very nice inside. I very much like going out for dinner at nice restaurants. The food was very good and tasty but to fully enjoy a good meal I believe you should not be rushed. The meal started so quickly my appetizer came out in middle of meal. Portions of food were good but since food was served so quickly if you didn't shovel it in it would get cold. At the end of the meal server boxed up food before people were finished. I believe if you are spending a 130 dollars at dinner for two you should not be rushed. I understand that you have to make money but herding people in and out will not help longevity of business.

The restaurant looks nice. The wait staff did pretty good keeping up with drinks. Unfortunately, food got cold between servings. It was tasty, he just needed to go a little faster. To be fair, we had 11 at our table so that made it a little more difficult, which is why it was a 4-star rating. Still, an enjoyable dinner with friends.
