A little off the beaten path, but good food at fairly decent prices. A great selection of specialty cocktails, and a somewhat limited menu, but what we had was good. Seafood pot pie was interesting, more like a seafood stew with a puff pastry on top, but tasty, and the scallops were delicious. Worth a stop.
Well we had the BLT grouper sandwich the grouper was lovely but the bacon was real chewy fat it was thick and they and real chewy. It was fried in maple on the outside which made it look like it was brown and you thought that that was meaty but really it was gristle fat. The brussel sprouts were heavenly though ????
Came here because the Tavern participates in Club Savor. Had baked oysters, mussels, crab cakes, and the scallops with sweet potato, as well as drinks (yes this was a party of one ????). Everything was to. die. for. The bread hay cane w the mussels were incredible. I don’t understand what sorcery they sprinkled it with, but the dish is worth it alone for the bread.
Service was incredible, as well. Highly recommend.
Our waitress was wonderful, very sweet! The environment felt like a more upscale tavern. Location is a little odd, but nice. Food was good, surprisingly the wings (appetizer) were the best dish! But would definitely go back if not for the wings, the environment.
Staff and service made this place great, the guy at the bar was shucking oysters and let us try them different ways while we waited for our table. Food was fantastic, we ordered a bunch a different stuff and shared. Would love to be able to go back. Awesome place
