Denny's

Denny's strength (and weakness) is that it hasn't changed much over the years. It has a reputation as a senior friendly diner and stepping into this place confirmed it is not where you go for a fun night out. I was hoping to have a patty melt. Alas it was no longer on the menu. However the lead waitress did offer to craft one for old time sake. Denny's strength is still breakfast.

We ordered breakfast, the waitress was very polite and helpful with questions about the order. The food came within a reasonable time for us, about 20 minutes. The food was hot and tasty. We didn't have any issues with the order on this visit. We initially went there because we get an AARP discount. I will have to admit, Denny's isn't my first choice for breakfast but I was pleased this time.

Went today for my Birthday, mentioned it to at least 2 employees and not a one said Happy Birthday.
Not sure about you but I find it rude when someone says, 'Show that to your waiter.' or, 'Show that to the cashier when you check out.' after mentioning that it was my Birthday and holding my I.D. card as proof. I think I'd rather hear, 'Oh, Happy Birthday. Please show that to ... before you leave.'
By the way, one lady and a family left while we were eating, don't think either group paid, and pretty sure the lady left due to slow service.
It was moderately busy but the waitress disappeared frequently, and she didn't pay very good attention to her customers.
The family left after seeing the food. Mom said it didn't look very appetizing.

Mary, Pat (Pumpkin) and Debi are the GREATEST. They are top notch as far as servers are concerned. Kim, the GM, has gone out of her way to make sure we were accommodated with special requests. I've always had the best experiences at this restaurant. Food and service are top notch. Highly recommend.
