The Port Steak & Seafood

My parents are snowbirds and bring all out of town guest here. Tonight was my first time with my husband and 2 kids. Gator nuggets, fried shrimp and haddock were all delicious, but when visiting Florida I always go for grouper, and The Port does not disappoint! Better than the food and the view was the service... Cameron made our dinner experience a memorable one! He is personable young man who shared some must do’s while visiting the area. Thanks Cameron for the excellent service!!!

This is a quiet restaurant with a country lakefront location and is way off the beaten path. Its one of the many reasons we like it. They have a broad menu of surf and turf, it's also one of the few places to get gator bites locally and the dipping sauce is fantastic with those deep fried gator nuggets. We've had things from all corners of the menu and it was all nicely prepared and plated. The reason for the 4 not 5 star is, I'd like the beer to be colder. We'll still be returning though, we love the place.

Staff was amazing and the food just right. We came by for my mother-in-law's 60 b-day and could not ask for better service. Thanks for the chocolate mousse! Gator was delicious!

Beautiful lake views, fresh seafood, generous portions, reasonably priced, and friendly service summarize my experience at this restaurant. We ordered calamari appetizer, seafood combo and fresh catfish on a late afternoon Tuesday. Everything was served hot and tasty.
The restaurant is rustic at best and could use an upgrade - especially bathrooms. However that did not take away from delicious food and good service.
