The Spot Jamaican Restaurant Lounge Liquor Store & Motel

Have stayed in the motel for a few weeks. Can say it’s been great for the price. It’s very quiet and you can keep to yourself for the most part. My “neighbors” are also quiet and Keep to themselves mostly. Their food is top notch when they first open! Great authentic Jamaican taste. Everybody who works here is very friendly too! Shena and Ryan have treated me very well from the start

Drove past this place and decided to check it out so glad we did! Now let me tell you, when you start ordering and the waitress says “I’m so sorry we are out of…” you KNOW THE FOOD IS ABOUT TO BE BOMB 💣! We showed up just after the lunch rush so a few things were already sold out. We have experienced this at other Jamaican restaurants food is just soo good you can’t keep it stocked! I had the beef stew chicken and my husband had the curry chicken and wow 🤩 soo good so delicious! Let’s just say we shall definitely be back!

So a buddy and I stopped at a Jamaican buffet in Lake Wales to eat. Good food, server was nice and personable, a very pleasant experience. On the way out, the owner stops us to ask about our experience and to make small talk. What would have usually ended with a “thank you, we’ll be back sometime” turned into a spirited conversation about life and business. There’s so much good in the world and that little extra mile of effort to have a human experience speaks volumes. I can’t recommend these folks enough. Not only for the food, but for the kindness and hospitality.

Well... I'd say I was even surprised. From the moment you walk through the main door, you can notice the good customer service, a smile, a hello and a great willingness to serve you. They offer a la carte dishes but they also have a type of buffet, where you ask the waitress what things you want to eat and repeat. In a quite informal but very pleasant atmosphere while listening to soft music, as if you were arriving at your favorite aunt's house to look for food that you really like. Everything very clean and in order. I tried everything on the buffet except turkey and everything tasted good. Steamed cabbage is like to eat it with everything. In my case, I really enjoyed the Curry chicken and the Brown stew pork. It also offers a bar or canteen area, where you can order water, beer, drinks or juices. To conclude and no less importantly, the food was very good for me, no emergency stops or surprises. Also, an important detail is that when you got home, you couldn't know what you had just eaten because the clothes still had a detergent smell, very good control with kitchen odors. It only remains to repeat the visit to this good place and try that famous fruit cake that SHEENA declares to be very good. Definitively, the visit will be repeated. Do not lower your guard, I wish you much success.

Fantastic genuine Jamaican fare. Generous portions at a reasonable price. I like the way they do the all-you-can-eat. Tell your server what you want, they get it from the kitchen or warming trays and bring it to you at your table. This is the post-pandemic way of doing a buffet. 👍 Sheena and her daughter were very friendly and attentive, frequently coming by to see if we wanted anything else. And they had cool reggae music playing in the background. All I had to do was close my eyes and I almost thought I was in the islands.😁 Bottom line: just go!
