Sonny's BBQ

One of my favorites for bbq! With its famous sweet bbq sauce, so popular it’s now found in most grocery stores. Come in and get a Big Deal or an All you can eat special. Also available Ribs of almost every type you can think of.

Just had a great meal at Sonny's BBQ in Lakeland Florida off SR 37 on Brannon Road. It had been awhile since the last time we dinned at Sonny's. But they have proven once more they are the best in Bar-BQ. The service was the top of the line with refills before you knew you needed one. Thanks again Sonny's for another great time.

I do my best to avoid chain restaurants. The inside is updated, and looks nice. They have improved on their sliced brisket. I do not consider this a proper representation of Florida barbecue, though. Find someone on the side of the road for that. This Sonny's should consider doing breakfast, since it is on a main road many travel for work.

I've been coming to this location for the past couple years, and I can honestly say Amanda(the bartender at lunchtime) is fantastic!!!!! She is great with the customers and is very outgoing. She is always happy and always smiling this is the face you wanna see when you walk in!

I haven't been here in several years but I wish I had. They have updated their decor, added a bar, and TVs. It's not like a sports bar but has a warmer feel than the old style. Irregardless, it's my favorite BBQ! Same great tender pulled pork, sweet coleslaw, hearty beans and warm garlic bread. And don't forget their delicious sweet tea in those huge glasses! Always a full belly at Sonny's.
