Quantity, but not always quality. From the outside looking in, Tuscana may be a viable option for any meal. It's a decent buffet-style restaurant that could be a good choice from time to time, but is no better than your run-of-the-mill Golden Corral. As a student, I can tell you that Tuscana is in fact a school cafeteria no matter how much effort the owners try to put into "disguising" that fact. Albeit, it's a good cafeteria, great even on some days. I eat at Tuscana every day, actually, because it's the only meal-plan based restaurant on campus...so as a general consensus, trust me when I say skip this one unless you're really forgiving as far as food quality and consistency goes. The majority of the workers are students, and they often cut corners in preparing the food so that they can have what they want to eat after their shifts end (the managers are trying to fix this issue currently). My friend almost ate a chicken wing that had been cooked and served with the parchment paper still wrapped around it. My roommate can't even eat at Tuscana anymore because she constantly gets food poisoning. That being said, if you're careful and inspect your food well, you can have a good meal here.
One awesome thing, and the only reason for 3 stars: breakfast. The breakfast at Tuscana is way better than anything else that is served there, and I'm not kidding when I say most of the students would agree. On Sundays, Tuscana serves breakfast all day, so that's when you'd want to go. The omelettes are the best thing about Tuscana by far.
I didn't eat here; I work here. Everyone seems to enjoy the food, and the place is kept clean as a whistle. The kitchen employees are mostly students who love making food. Casual, nice cafeteria-style restaurant with plenty of seating and a gorgeous outside patio area.
I brought my daughter to the SEU preview days and was very impressed with the quality and choices of foods. The cooked to order omelette was fantastic! Overall I am very pleased to know she will be well fed when she starts her freshman year!
Great all you can eat place within the campus of Southeast University.
I loved this restaurant at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. The food was excellent and the variety was good. The restaurant is for the students and staff , but the locals go there on Sundays. It is buffet style. You pay one price (which is reasonable) and then eat to your heart's desire at the various stations.
