    Sat outside on patio high top table. Very nice feel and far less noise than inside the restaurant. The appetizers on the menu are wonderful, and certainly I can vouch for the Brussels sprouts, pork belly and truffle gnocchi dishes. The special was Paella, superbly prepared.

    I gave up drinking a while back but the drink menu looked interesting, varied and inventive. The prices were very approachable, especially for the quality of the food. Marco the owner spent time with each table making sure everyone in the house felt warmly welcome and was totally satisfied. If you are in the area and enjoy an excellent dining experience Nineteen61 is a must stop when you plan your itinerary.

    I don't review on Google often, usually reserving my posts for when I have a very positive experience like my dinner at nineteen61.

    (FWIW, after I left I realized Marco was Cuban and I wondered why the name nineteen61. The Cuban missile crisis (yes I am old enough to remember it) was in 1962. However, the "Bay of Pigs" invasion by the US of Cuba was in 1961. Maybe if someone from the restaurant comments on this post they can add the answer to the origin of the restaurant's name.)

    Very nice... very fresh... Terrel was terrific. Nice relaxing vibe with delicious food and great service. Truly good in every way...

    Had a stellar client dinner here tonight and couldn't be more pleased. Great food (had the scallop special), great drinks and great conversation. Top notch service by our waitress, Sam, who was very attentive to the needs of everyone in the group. Highly recommended if you're in the Lakeland area as their version of Latin fusion food was excellent.

    Birthday Celebration with their Sunday Family Dinner. Awesome meal. Three entrees, prime rib was the best. Service was impeccable with special touches for the birthday girl. Can't wait to go back.

    Excellent service. Great atmosphere. The chef really knows what he's doing. The staff was very accommodating. The server was very knowledgeable about every item we asked about. Would highly recommend this little gem.
