Gaskins Barbecue & Lobster

I will definitely go again.
Good portions & flavor.
Had the 3 choice meat platter - great smoked chicken,
Brisket, & pulled pork. Mac and cheese very creamy :) sweet cornbread. Green beans were nice.
The lobster rolls looked great but didn’t have, many inside ordered them while we were there.

I found Gaskins through the recommendation of a nurse from the local hospital. What an amazing surprise! I was with two friends - all of from the northeast- and we had all three meats - pork brisket and chicken in several different plates and combinations. Wow!! The food was amazing and the restaurant was clean and smelled great! We stopped on the way out to talk to the cashier...who turned out to be the owner with her husband and kids. Great people! This is a must visit place!!

Our party of 3 arrived at 2pm and were served promptly after ordering.

I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was piled high and filled with tender and succulent pork, which actually melted in my mouth.
It was delicious!

My wife had the brisket and lobster sandwich, served on a buttered hamburger bun, that was grilled just right. Both flavors were delicious!

Our friend, ordered the lobster roll, which was served on a buttered, split top hot dog roll. He also was served a small side of butter, presumably for dipping the big, sweet, lobster chunks in!

All our meals were served with a side order of French fries which were very hot and tasty. Malt vinegar was available if so desired.

The wait staff checked on our table often, and were very friendly as well.

A true gem of a eatery, offering upscale tastes
with down to earth seating. We all felt right at home here and DEFINITELY will return!

Was surprised that the lobster roll was cold. My bad others read the menu board more closely and knew only one of the 2 rolls was served hot.

Overall food was good, just not exceptional. For a counter order style restaurant, I would have preferred soft drinks to be self serve as well. Staff was very pleasant but drinks were often empty since you don't have an assigned wait staff.

I'd recommend this restaurant.

I was originally intrigued by a place that sells both lobster and barbecue, and decided to give it a try. Tonight was their grand opening and of course stress levels were high among the staff. Everyone was pleasant and kind. They answered all my questions and decided on a Connecticut Lobster Roll, which was warm lobster on a brioche bun with drawn clarified butter. I also opted to make it a combo which included a side and a drink. The baked potato was HUGE! The lobster roll was out of this world, filled with huge pieces of sweet, tender lobster...at least 4-5 full claw pieces. Very yummy! Others eating inside appeared to be enjoying a variety of barbecued sandwiches, meats, and other fried seafood, like clams, white fish, shrimp, scallops, and more. A must try, but much of menu can be on pricey side.
