Little New Orleans & Oysters Bar Winter Haven

I generally don't review a place unless I love it but in this case I have to say I have to in that there's room for improvement and management needs to know. While our server was great, it appeared overall that the restaurant was understaffed. This was early evening on a Friday. A couple that sat down across from us eventually walked out in a huff because their server (not the same as ours) never brought them their appetizers that they ordered after they first sat down; they had been there over 30 min. Food-wise, the kids got great portions. I tried the variation of jumbalaya the server recommended and it was so bland I had to ask for Crystal hot sauce to make it halfway interesting. We had high expectations as we once lived in a locale with an authentic New Orleans style restaurant that we loved; unfortunately this place doesn't measure up yet. Hoping they can improve and entice is to try again.

Crabs was great. Loved the gumbo. Red beans and rice was great. My server Sabrina made it a great experience. Will go back soon.

Good service. Surprised how good the food was. Fried grouper delicious. Hush puppies very tasty. Would recommend and will return if in area.

Our original server forgot about us, but Sabrina stepped up and took our table. She was a great server!
The food was great. Prices were appropriate.
Historically, this location has not been able to support a restaurant for very long. If the new owner staffs this restaurant with people like Sabrina, they will succeed where the other restaurants have not.

The oysters were great. The wings were good especially with our waitress husband special sauce. Our waitress was amazing. We went on a night when their was live entertainment. Great atmosphere
