The Whistle Stop

The Calzone is not only huge and delicious, but cost effective too! The fried chicken salad was just as good! I haven't been since The Whistle Stop bought 12 Below but I'll definitely start going again!!

So this place is very deceiving from the road. They're really a little no frills place for great food, prompt friendly service.

I'd seen their photos on Facebook and planned to one day try them and today was the day!

We both ordered the Big Fish sandwich. It comes with fries and they make sure you get plenty. The fried grouper was done to perfection and there was plenty of it! No bait and switch here, pictures do it no justice. There was so much delicious food fish and no matter how hard I tried, it wouldn't stay on the bun.

While dining we noticed other people's meals and they were taking half their meal home with them too

Food is great. Their chicken Alfredo pizza and the grilled chicken salad are both delicious. The owner is very kind!! Has a nice seating area outside on a main road that’s nice to sit, eat and watch the cars go by!! Place is clean.

First time at The Whistle Stop. I was very impressed with the food. I had the Texas Burger all the way. Received it just as ordered. It came with fries, may I say the best fries I have ever had. Top notch all the way. Downside: Canned drinks only, only outside tables. Must try.

I stopped at The Whistle Stop today and ordered a calzone. It wasn’t on the menu board but they said they make them. It cost $10.99 for a plain ricotta and mozzarella. Additional toppings are $1.00 each. I added onions and pepperoni. It was big enough for two people and was delicious!
