Been there twice and love the place..super nice people.
Bartender is awesome we had a great time good way to spend a Sunday afternoon
Time stands still in this old school tavern by the River that would be a second home for the likes of Hemingway, Service or Gus McCrae. Loud music inside and outside, two juke boxes, one with 5 plays for a dollar showcasing the grand old stuff, and the iciest brewskis on the river make this a true haven of explorers, wanders. fishermen and plain good ole folk! The most beautiful sunsets from the veranda hearken to the spirit of anyone in love with Florida and her manifest charms! An added note of praise is that thru the last two hurricanes with water lapping at the the foundations of the concrete veranda, Gary kept the bar up and running with generators, fresh ice for the wide selection of beers and music! This Tavern NEVER CLOSES during working hours, 7 days a week, come hell or High Water!
If you like an out of the way spot on the river to have a beer and shoot a little pool this is a great underrated spot to check out. It's small and a bit outdated though not to mention most of the time nobody else is there except Sunday evening when they give the customers free chicken off the smoker that's really good. Customers are also welcome to bring food to add to their buffet.
