Blackwater Bistro

This, by far is one of my absolute favorite local restaurants. Ve tried practically everything on the menu and never been disappointed. The management and staff are beyond friendly and very accommodating. I also love the local entertainment and outdoor seating when the weather permits. This restaurant has such a darling quaint Victorian decor which I absolutely love. It’s definitely warm and inviting feeling.

The food was good but did lack quality. The servers where great. When we went they were very short staff with almost packed house. The two servers, only ones working that day, did amazing under such circumstances. I'm hoping the next time we go they have more help.

This was my first time eating at the BB. Everything about this experience was incredible; food, service and ambiance. The building is an historic home. The flooring is original, the walls are planks, just lovely. The seating can be tight, but that is a fun part of the experience. Lots a good energy. Fully stocked bar and amazing food. Nothing is lacking. PS. The setting is a small town called Milton. It is adorable. Darling older homes being restored. The BB is across the street from the Blackwater river. If it hadn't t raining, we would have walked around.

I've been meaning to write this review forever! I got married at blackwater river state park and wanted to have my reception at a restaurant just to keep things easy, but I really wanted something delicious that everyone in my wedding party would enjoy. The staff was so helpful and sweet, and I can't express how grateful I was to have such a welcoming experience. The service was top-notch, the food fantastic, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone I know! Thank you to everyone at Blackwater Bistro that made my special day even more special.

Nice place. Got there and got seated fast. The server showed up fast too and then it was like they forgot about us. They took forever to come back, they forgot part of our order, brought the wrong order. Service was slow, but had good company. The room we were sitting in held allot of noise. Very loud. Food was good.
