And I just remembered to add that this place is ideal for gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian foods!
Love it! I have to be gluten free, and I can eat delicious food there within my requirements. And my friends, who are not gluten free, are always happy there. Delicious salads, wraps, main dishes. Service is always good too. I recommend it highly.
Had lunch at Cafe Evergreen with girl friend and another couple on the recommendation of the girl friends girl friend. I had the Kelp noodle stir fry. The sprouted grain on the bottom, not sure if it was the rice or quinoa, was a pleasant surprise. It was a good meal. My girl friend and I shared a little of each others different orders and both enjoyed. Everyone else at the table seemed very satisfied with their meal. The service was very acceptable also. Our waitress was there when we needed her and absent when we required no service, exactly as I prefer. If I was a local I would be a regular and repeat customer.
Wish there was another location near by but always worth the drive! Fresh food, crisp juices, best gluten free menu around. So nice to have a place where I can actually eat with my family that suits my dietary needs & they too can enjoy their meal.
For a healthy and unique experience you should try the Evergreen Cafe. The decor is simple but elegant in a renovated historic 1923 bank building. The place is small so come early or make reservations. An entire separate menu is devoted to the wide beverage selection including a variety of smoothies. The food menu includes dishes not found elsewhere in the area, including an excellent black bean burger. Be sure to add roasted cauliflower as the side. Overall, a great outing that leaves you feeling good about what you ate.
