Service was great, I love how they only give straws out upon request! Overall food is alright but the location is what makes it.
I wish there were more seafood options on the kids menu. We tried the peel and eat shrimp (I thought there was supposed to be 12, only counted 10). They did provide a side of fries and ranch for the kid.
The crab salad sandwich was good, the edamame salad on the side (optional over fries) was delicious!
I previously posted a review from last year's visit. I wanted to give a new one. I came to Nokomis again and just HAD to stop back in at Pop's Sunset Grill. SO GLAD I DID! Gorgeous renovations added more outdoor water front seating. The gift shop is bigger and better than it was. I ordered the Casey Key Nachos and they were to die for!! Super delicious. Plenty of dishes can be made Gluten Free...which is always a plus for me!! This place is worth the trip! You won't be disappointed!! So glad I stopped here again this year! Will he back next year for sure!!!!!????????
Among best key lime pie I've ever had and fried scallop basket was something I never knew couldve tasted so good. Had excellent blacked shrimp and coconut shrimp and cocktail sauce was just the right mixture of horseradish and ketchup. What a meal!
We first found this place years ago when we lived in Florida and it was simple with GREAT drinks and really good food. We have always stopped in when visiting Florida and it's been a little hit or miss. It seems when a place really gets popular there is a struggle to keep up with the demand. Our last to visits we tried to get in for dinner and both times our wait started out 30 minutes, not bad, it's worth it. However, the 30 minutes turned into an Hour and Forty Five minutes. When this place is busy you will be lucky if you can get in. We miss the old days when Pops was simple and GREAT. Don't worry we will try again the next time we are in town.
GREAT food, great service and fantastic waterfront seating! Hubby had the cheeseburger and was thrilled - huge half pound quality beef burger cooked perfectly. Ahi Tuna salad was superb. FUN place!
