Alvaro's Family Restaurant

My wife and I had a pleasant lunch. Her spinach pie was large and very tasty, my sausage, peppers and onions sub was also surprising. The new owners food shows that they have made improvements. Our area should support this small business.

I dined at Alvaro's for breakfast. It's a nice neighborhood restaurant. It's very clean and the staff is friendly and courteous. I ordered their "especial" which was 2 eggs, bacon ham or sausage, toast and home fries or grits. It was a little bland, but that's what salt and pepper are for. The service was extremely fast (this was a Thursday). I really wanted eggs benedict, but the menu is limited. The nice thing was coffee was included in the price of the meal, so for $6 (without tip) it was a bargain. I would say if you're not looking for anything fancy, Alvaro's fills the hole at a reasonable price.

I can’t believe how much I love this place. It’s like a crazy love story. Man finds pasta and pasta knocks me off my feet. Shakespeare wrote it best “A man and his pasta, a love that is all about taste.”

I've only had the fish tacos at Alvaro's Family Restaurant although have eaten here many times. They are so delicious that I can't wait to eat them each time we visit. The fish tacos are the best I've eaten with lots of fish in flour tortilla topped with fresh salsa. The two fish tacos also come with side salad and French fries. Highly recommended.
