La Rocca Italian Ristorante & Pizzeria

Just had the most delicious Italian dinner at LaRocca in North Port. Bar none, the best I’ve had ever. We traveled 40 minutes and it was well worth it.
We walked in a few minutes ahead of our reservation time expecting to have to wait for a little while before being seated. But much to our surprise, our table was ready! We were greeted by a friendly young lady who showed us to our table and gave us the menu. She promptly took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. We had our two young granddaughters with us and the waitress was patient with them, very kind and mindful of the fact that they were probably starving to death. The young lady asked if we wanted the girls’ dinner ahead of the adults which was very thoughtful. The girls ate their food and then mooched some of our food ????.

My mom, a true Spanish lady and connoisseur of real Sangria, said it was absolutely refreshing and delicious.

Excellent food, great service, friendly family atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for anything better. You need to try it! We will be back soon.

What a fabulous restaurant, Excellent sauces, could drink the marinara sauce. My husband loves the veal, says it's the best he has had and we have been all over the world! Hidden gem of North Port, one of my favorite local places to eat.

Excellent food and service. Quiet and very intimate atmosphere. Meals on average 20 to 35$. Yes, may sound a bit on the higher side. But the quality and portions are spot on. My aunt ordered a ricotta and spinach pizza and asked to have sauce added (pizza was noted as sauceless) but they put in on not extra charge. It was enormous! Definitely worth 20$ and could feed easily 3 people!!! I am visiting from out of town, but if I lived locally this would be our new local favorite. I definitely suggest trying it!!!
