Weather for food beautiful people I love this place
The food was excellent, staff was incredibly pleasant, and the decor is tasteful to say the least. Highly recommend!
Sarasota’s best sushi location is tucked away but only a 12 minute drive from downtown. Trust me it is worth the drive. Chef Jon and his staff do a great job with everything from the quality of fresh fish, presentation, and service , all the way down to the homemade soy sauce and fresh ground wasabi. Yes Chef Jon makes his own soy sauce and wasabi every day and the flavors are fab!! I was in the military and had the opportunity to try sushi on both coasts of the US. I have some sushi eating experience and this place is legit . Go there NOW????????
Staff was attentive and inviting. The outside does not do justice to the beautiful inside. The fish katsu made with flounder today was delicious, the grilled squid, the spicy tuna roll, tempura were all amazing. Left feeling full and happy. Will be back!
COULDN’T ASK FOR A BETTER DINING EXPERIENCE!
Definitely will keep going back, and tell all my friends too!
Authentic and fantastic! From statues, to wall art and hanging flags, to straw mat dividers between tables with plenty of space in between.
When the sashimi platter arrived our table, my jaw dropped! Could I be viewing a spectacular piece of ice sculpture at the Harbin Ice Festival? Wow, all the hugely thick cut pieces of sashimi were artfully displayed on a tray of ice decorated with a REAL ice sculpture and a bonsai pine tree highlighted with colorful lights from underneath! And then there's the shredded beets instead of the usual white Daikon (white Chinese turnip)
Awwww, soooo fresh it melts in your mouth good! The sashimi was cut so big and thick that it takes 2-3 bites to eat each piece. Their soy source was made by the chef himself with his own secret ingredients. Very unique and flavorful indeed!
Their $7 one size hot sake is equivalent to the $13+ large size at other sushi restaurants. The roasted rice Genmai Cha (green Tea) was a total surprise! We loved it! Even their miso soup and their house made ginger salad dressing were more delicious.
Kimono donned friendly waitresses greet you with smiles and very attentive. The chef himself came to our table to greet us.
