Indigenous Restaurant

Chef Steve and his crew have never once disappointed in the six years I've been going to Indigenous. Between the atmosphere, great service, fantastic wine list and life-changing dishes, I can easily say this is my favorite spot in town. 10/5 stars.

This place had such a nice cozy location. Although I think people have hyped it up a lot. First thing I noticed was that the inside was very dark my mother could barley see the menu. My mother tried the New Zealand sauvignon blanc she liked it very much the Pilsner I had was very nice also. For starters I had the truffle bisque and my mom had the Caesar both were done very well. To be honest we have agreed that we liked the soup the most out of everything we had. For dinner my mom had the short ribs which was more pasta than ribs. Very strange title for a pasta dish. I tried the special which was the sword fish with cream sauce and topped with some type of fried fish cake. Neither of the dinners were very great plus at a cost of 122$ with tip I don’t think we will be going back. Don’t believe the hype folks!

Went on New Year's Eve so it was a limited menu for four courses. Paired it with the wine for an upcharge. It was very unexpected and delicious. Each course was fabulous. The Local Catch is barrel fish. Never had it before; it's a firm white fish. Chocolate flan paired with Key Lime was delicious also. I will have to include this on my trips to Sarasota.

Amazing food, great ambiance. Everything we had was excellent. We love that everything is sustainably sourced and the service was top notch.

Fantastic restaurant, was always on my bucket list and now I got to enjoy it!! This place is worth every $! An amazing assault on the tastebuds that just get better with every bite!! Mushroom bisque was spectacular, so glad it’s a permanent fixture.
