Libby's Neighborhood Brasserie

We've been back twice since the renovation, it's just okay. Renovation decent, service decent, menu & food leaves a lot to be desired. Old menu & food much better. Choices very limited and food extremely bland. We would go to the old establishment frequently, don't know if we will go back. Menu and food need a major upgrade!

Service was excellent and the food was delightful! As a long time Sarasota native, I miss the old digs, but reallythe new renovations are really beautiful. ????

The food is excellent, imaginative and consistent. The Bloody Mary bar is THE reason to try Libby's for brunch. All kinds of fun self-serve garnishes are fresh and plentiful including: beautifully crisp bacon, skewers of olives and cheeses, peppers, huge celery stalks, etc. The home made Bloody Mary mix—regular or spicy— is fantastic and doesn't have horseradish overkill. The spinach quiche was small but excellent and be sure to try the cabbage slaw. Not so great is the service detail. Toast was served without butter, coffee had no cream or sugar, hot sauce was available but had to be located. There were plenty of servers but they were sluggish and had to be flagged down. For brunch, the noise level is about right and space between tables is better than average. If you have to wait for a table, there is a wonderful boutique market/deli across the street with some unique products worth checking out. Overall, a fine experience if you can leave big city service expectations behind.
