Opus Restaurant & Lounge SRQ

Highly recommended for a upscale meal, just off Siesta Key Island, in Gulf Gate at a fraction of the price of comparable restaurants on Island. Truly a unique and delicious restaurant!

Opus is one of our newest favorites.

The shrimp and grits, steak frites, and lamb shank were all impeccable. Wine prices were very competitively priced with a great selection ($60 for Orin Swift Abstract). Food quality and cool vibe was comparable to the Summer House, but for half the price.

We also loved the gentle nod to openness and acceptance with the two private unisex restrooms and the tongue and cheek sign advising employees to wash their hands and if an employee is not available, to please wash your own.

Can't wait to be back.

First time visiting. The food and service was amazing. Must try Hungarian Stuffed Chili, Chicken Souvlaki Pita and Grilled Cheese. Thanks for the excellent service Katie! We will definitely be back.

Delicious food in a lovely setting. We ate on the outdoor patio and were super impressed by the service and the great food. Truly quality dining that cost the same as most of the more touristy, fried-food heavy restaurants that otherwise dominate the area. The Kataifi shrimp was a standout, as was the snapper.

Dined in on a Wednesday evening. Outstanding service. Fabulous lemon drop martini to start things off. We ordered apps to share they were all delicious; the octopus, the stuffed peppers, the coconut shrimp and truffle pomme frites. Fresh catch for dinner was snapper-absolutely delicious! And another ordered the chicken which was savory and divine too. The great wine selection made it easy to pair. Super upbeat atmosphere and tastefully done interiors. I look forward to returning!

Phenomenal food, attentive and upbeat service, and a huge shaded outdoor seating area all made for a lovely lunch with my friend! We shared the fungi flatbread and the steak sandwich—both were perfectly flavorful and perfectly prepared. We couldn’t stop eating and left very pleased. Overall, everything was so good I thought about immediately heading back for dinner with the husband. Interior is gorgeous, btw. Go and enjoy!
