Reyna's Taqueria South

We went here for dinner on a recommendation from a family member. We ordered ahead for takeout and the food was delicious and fresh when we arrived. It was a little difficult to find the place though since it’s inside the mall. So after driving around the entire mall we had to look up the location on google maps which gave the vague idea of where to find it inside the mall. The food was worth the confusion though and we will visit again.

Its a Gem in an empty mall but the food and service is A+. Coming from Miami, highlight of my trip.

Fantastic taqueria, and very unassuming being in a deserted food court just near the AMC theater. I will say they are bold opening this little taco shop in that location but if anyone can bring people in it will be Reyna's.

I will say the steak taco is fantastic.The salsa is smokey and full of flavor. The chips are ok but if the chips are fresh, the chips and salsa is great as a side. We have tried the carnitas tacos and the shrimp, both are very good but the steak is well worth the $3. Black beans and rice are separate items and a little overpriced for what you get, especially the rice which was a very small portion for $3.75, and the beans were good but still small for the price of $3.75.

The portion size is hit or miss, the first time we went the tacos were packed, the second time not so much. I would be interested in trying the main location in Sarasota one day.

Must say it was a big surprise, I was not expecting such outstanding food to be ina nearly dead food court, but the food was amazing, the staff are very friendly and I will definitely be back and will bring others.

Really Good for Mall food. Thank goodness a restaurant is in here again . Someplace to eat if your going to the movies or shopping in one of the few stores left in this desolate depressing mall. Steak taco had generous meat on it. Grilled onions cilantro and Horchata was very flavorful
