Ripfire Pizza & BBQ

Great thin crust pizza. The pulled pork reminded me of home cooking and the Mac and cheese was on point.

The staff are pleasant and friendly, offering helpful suggestions without being pushy, and they also play great music.

Definitely a place to check out if you are in the area.

Went to Ripfire today and left the place with mixed feelings. First off, the pizza was very good. Excellent, actually. We tried Paradise and Margherita and loved both. I got a can of dry hopped white wine and it was a revelation.

What I disliked is that the place is essentially a fast food place but they make you pay tips and do it upfront. That's right, when paying with a credit card at the register upon placing your order you get a screen with a selection of 10, 15 and 20 % tip option that you can't bypass (at least we didn't see a bypass option). A tip should follow a service and the amount should be determined by the quality of the service. That's not the case here. We picked the standard 15% expecting a standard service. The table that we sat at wasn't very clean. It had some crumbs and a wet spot. We cleaned it up ourselves using napkins. No biggie. We also had to go and get our own paper plates and forks. There wasn't a waitress around. All the service that we got was a young lady bringing our pizzas to the table and asking if we needed anything else. All work must be rewarded and I am happy to pay a generous tip for a good service but this place provided no service to us that warranted even a dollar's worth of tips.

14 June 2019 - Some of the best pork BBQ I've had in a long time! Big pieces of pulled pork with a sweet yet peppery sauce. Not finely shredded like a lot of other places do...that stuff always ends up soggy and gross. My wife ordered pizza and really liked it too. So far one of the more affordable places we've been to. $$13 - $15 per person. Apparently you can order just the pork sandwich for $10, but they don't advertise it. Nice outside bar-top seating. The owners were very nice to chat with as well. We're here for another week, we'll definitely eat here again!

The pizza is really good. I would recommend getting one pizza per person but they are very tasty. We got two of the specialty pizzas and really enjoyed them. The open air seating is also very nice and a fun atmosphere. We brought our toddler and had no problem so if you have kids I would highly recommend it. If you are looking for a bite at a reasonable price I think this is a great spot. Healthy tasty pizza which you can’t get elsewhere on Siesta Key.

I was new in the area and I was looking for a good Pizza Place. I read wonderful reviews and when I called they were friendly and very nice. The place is nice and cozy. Their food was delicious and definitely will come back and I would really recommend it. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and very nice people.
