Unique place. Absolutely love this place. A must go to place. Reasonable pricing. Food is so good!!!

Unassuming outside appearance of the Sarasota Siam Gulf masks the warm, inviting interior. It has a kind of tropical Thai feeling. The food is ordered at an open counter where the wait in line can be discouraging, but the food is wonderful and worth the wait. Husband loved his sushi and I (vegetarian) thoroughly enjoyed my Cashew vegetables...crisp enough, yet soft enough to absorb the rich flavors of the sauce. You’d be wise to take the advice of the order taker regarding the level of heat for your dish. Tu recommended mild, but I usually order medium in most Asian restaurants. However, I took her recommendation and glad I did. Their mild is like most medium. Hot sauce is available. We ordered dessert after dinner, and I can’t say enough good things about the cream puff. Heavenly! But be advised about their cheesecake. It bears absolutely no resemblance to the traditional cheesecake, but is more like a mild sponge cake. Not bad, just different. Now, if you are lucky enough to have Tu working when you visit, you will experience sweet, helpful and cheerful service. She is a delight! Sushi Gulf is clean, comfortable and clearly aiming to please. Go there!

Beautiful dishes with a new concept spin on the traditional Thai and sushi restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff are excellent people: both kind and diligent. Ambiance is far above the norm in this area. Great prices too! This is my wife and I’s new go-to Thai and sushi restaurant. Well done!

This is an excellent Thai restaurant! We went today for lunch and the food was fantastic. I lived in Bangkok for 13 years so I know what the food should taste like. My husband and I got our favorite Thai noodle dishes and they were wonderful. And I LOVE mango and sticky rice which is hard to find and theirs was superb! If you haven't had it before it's a must try.

This an such a nice quaint place, with awesome service and wonderful food. They have both sushi and Thai food. Went Thai hot, and was very pleased with the heat level and flavor. We did order some sushi, but they forgot to add it to the order, so didn't get it. We will try again next time. They were so pleasant to us, and thankful as we left. Also really loved the decor of the place, very nicely done.
