The Old Salty Dog

Good family restaurant. Kids menu includes meal, drinks and a snack - kinda pricey at $8. The famous Salty dog was unique - tasty and crispy. It's a good place to stop after touring the Mote aquarium.

Super delicious and fresh food! I had the blackened mahi sandwich - so good! My husband had the fish and chips which was also great. The service was excellent. Our server was the sweetest. Great view of the bay as well. Loved this little spot!

We love the location at Lido Key, it’s so beautiful on the water. Can’t go wrong with the food menu. The service is what I’m having a hard time with . Both locations I’ve been to so far. Maybe they don’t love kids or people with kids . But, I don’t like that . Come o guys, people vacation in Florida. Just be nice . Be nice to kids too.

We came to the Old Salty Dog restaurant today, on our holiday to Florida.

Very nice place. Love the location. We enjoyed looking out on the water and watching the unusual giant birds.
Was kept very cool also.

I chose the famous Salty Dog, Salty Dog’s signature dish.
The fried hot dog was delicious, but wasn’t as unique as I thought.

Average prices as well.

If passing by, or staying near by, would recommend a visit!

I am not a fan of the Salty Dog restaurants. I find their food to be below average. This restaurant sells atmosphere disguised by above average prices for the ability to eat by the water. There are many people that are not fortunate to be able to relax and enjoy a water view. If you are in need of that excitement then be prepared to pay for it. However, if your main concern is decent food at reasonable prices there are many other favorable options to chose from.
