The Old Salty Dog Siesta Key

This place was delicious! I tried a loaded salty dog, and my fiancee tried the original. Neither of us were disappointed. Whatever they fry that stuff in is delicious! The dogs were great!

Also tried the grouper nuggets, and the calamari. The nuggets definitely had a little twang to them from the beer batter, but I enjoyed them. The calamari though! I started craving it on the ride home. So sad I won't be able to have any for a long time! Definitely recommend going!

Ate at 530pm, family of 5. We were Immediately seated, had the choice of inside or outside seating. We ate inside. Coke products and many drink specials. I tried the grape ape, it was delicious, tasted like the candy grape nerds. Waitress was very nice and attentive. We had coconut shrimp, grouper nuggets, dog bites and west of the trail burger. All food was served quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I prefer Heinz ketchup but other then that the food was good. Had key lime pie and rim cake for deserts. They were outstanding. Would definitely get those deserts again. Would have rated higher but bill was 150 which I thought was too high. Good place to eat for diner quality food.

Great food and atmosphere. Awesome selection of beers and mixed drinks. They have a great owner and he has surrounded himself with excellent co-workers. We were served by one of the bartenders. She was spectacular. We had 2 families with 5 kids total. She was on top of everything!!!! The only FYI is that there is very little parking, but I don't see that as their fault. Just keep it in mind.

This used to be a great local place. Pretty much tourist trap now. Small portions very high prices. Typical beers, typical food, typical staff. Don't forget to buy a shirt and take it back to Wisconsin!
